Description: This is a lovely custom made Sonata with a "like-new" trailer.
A great solid fibreglass trailer sailer, with a neat and tidy interior. There is a double V berth and 2 long single quarterberths. To ensure an enjoyable weekend on the water there are cooking facilities, a toilet and plenty of storage.
Initially built in Redcliffe, "Autumn" became well-known at Moreton Bay, as well as in Victoria and Queensland (Bribie Island), where she participated in regattas and races (with success). She then made her way to Townsville where her current owners have updated a lot of her equipment including the rigging.
Many new items were installed/replaced in 2019-2020 (see below).
The 22' trailer sailer concept for "Autumn" was brought about with a meeting between Doug McClintock and John Sharp, who had previously built a number of sail boats. Four molds were made and each boat was named after each of the four seasons, with appropriate coloured stripes.
Autumn is known to be reasonably fast, roomy, easily towable and having a simple rig without back stays and runners.
The Swiftco trailer in very good condition (new 2019); dual axle; hydraulic brakes; folding jockey wheel; wobble rollers; spare wheel.
All tyres in very good condition. A fresh roadworthy certificate will be prepared for a potential new owner.
