Description: REDUCED - OWNER IS OPEN TO ANY RESONABLE OFFER
'Andrew Petrie' was built by well-known quality custom designers and builders Norman Wright and Sons. She was commissioned by Qld Dept of Harbours & Marine in 1987.
As you walk onto the aft deck you will be amazed by the space that is provided, even though there is a hydraulic crane on the stern. Heading to the main cabin there is an enclosed toilet/shower on the port side, and on the starboard side the entry hatch into the engine room which houses the 2 Caterpillar 313 HP diesel engines with a cruising speed of 10 knots, Sea Wasp genset and plenty of storage.
Moving through to the air conditioned cabin, the galley is on the port side providing plenty of cooking and heating options along with a good-sized Engel fridge/freezer and serviceable kitchen sink. Also, along the port side you will find the dinette, this could easily sit 6 people and can be folded down for an extra sleeping area for 2 people. On the starboard side you will find a single bunk, the top bunk can be also used as a storage area. The lower helm is positioned for maximum efficiency, overlooking the instrument panel and communication station.
Main cabin leads down 3 steps to the forward berth consisting of 4 spacious singles all with plenty of individual storage bays.
From the back deck you access the upper helm and from here you have a direct view from all sides with plenty of sitting under a sunshade. 'Andrew Petrie' is a 'walk around', so as you move forward to the bow with ease, you will find an electric anchor winch with a large chain locker. All maintenance has been conducted regularly, last antifoul was applied in November 2024.
'Andrew Petrie' may have been built to handle a variety of equipment transfers. However, she can also be a cruising/leisure vessel as there is an option for safety rails on the large aft deck to allow for the recreational fisherman to optimise the space.
This is a serious go anywhere vessel, which offers optimum seakeeping and efficiency. The 'Andrew Petrie' is a comfortable and safe vessel which can be operated in a wide range of conditions, focusing on the simplicity of maintenance and serviceability.
